Sensei Vine began his study of JuJitsu in Honolulu, Hawaii under Shihan McLaughlin in 1993, and was one of his senior students and instructors untill he left in 2004. He began his study of the martial arts in 1978, and in addition to JuJitsu has studied Karate, Tai Chi, and Ninjitsu.

The Iroquois Confederacy would weigh every decision by asking what the impact would be 7 generations from now. His life long quest is to train students who surpass him. And that ever generation there after does so as well. Thus Sensei Vine constatnly asks himself what will the impact of his decisions be on his students 7 generations from now.
